Questions about NCLEX-PN
- How many questions are on the NCLEX-PN?
- A minimum of 85 items and a maximum of 150. Of the 85-item minimum, 15 are unscored pretest items and 18 belong to three case studies.
- What score do you need to pass the NCLEX-PN?
- There is no percentage. NCSBN sets the standard at −0.18 logits on an ability scale, and there is no fixed share of candidates who pass.
- How is the NCLEX-PN different from the NCLEX-RN?
- Same adaptive format, different content weights and a lower passing standard, reflecting LPN and VN scope. Coordinated Care carries 18 to 24% against the RN's 15 to 21%.
